If you are updated with the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger (version 8), then definitely you can enhance your IM experience thru plugins.

The plugin that I really really like to try is the Yahoo! Avatars Space.

The Yahoo! Gallery currently have 180+ plugins where you can personally choose.

With Y!M v.8 we can also add users of MSN Live! Messenger. Great expandibility.

Pluck Plugin for Firefox and IE

Lately I realized that I haven't checked my RSS subscriptions for a long time in MY YAHOO page. I love how Yahoo was able to give me relevant results whenever I searched for an RSS subscriptions on the net, but what makes me frown is the layout/themes that is available for customization. It is somewhat a crap for me, some themes doesn't REALLY blend well and some has text colors that makes your eyes strain.

By then, I decided to search for web-based RSS readers out there but for some sort of failure to see some attractive featured-rich readers, I tried MY MSN. I was never disappointed of great looking themes and customizable layout, but again - another downside. I tried searching for the feed of a specific blog that I had from Yahoo using the My MSN feed finder, but found no results. Obviously the feed is existing because I have it on My Yahoo. And so I can't add the feeds I want... even though I will type the direct feed URL on the feed finder.

And just earlier, as soon as I knew I wasn't updated at all by my favorite subscriptions, I'm hunting again for a good free feed reader.

I remembered when I was looking for feed buttons for my site (when I didn't found the SOCIALIZER yet) and found a site where you can generate feed subscription buttons, and bookmarked it. From the list of those buttons, I checked some of it that interests me.

And I then found the PLUCK extension for Firefox. It might not that be attractive enough, I just like of its availability. Actually, the portable Thunderbird that I have can be used as a feed reader, but what if the headline interests me... I have to open up or browse on my portable Firefox (if it only shows partial content). Unlike with the Pluck plugin on Firefox, if the headline is interesting, all I have to do is click on the Title and the actual site will open up with the complete contents.

Aside from this, hitting the Alt+P would bring up immediately the list of subsriptions on the sidebar and check for I can check updates.. well, if the alert tray on the lower right side of the browser is not activated for new feed updates. Though with this plugin, I have to sign up for account. Pluck says the purpose of an account is for portability of your subscriptions, that no matter where you are, on work or home, with or without the pluck installed, you can still access your feeds. It is because if you sign up, the feeds you added can be also accessed through the Pluck website just by logging in there.

I was able to add my old favorite subscriptions that I have on My Yahoo, and browse for new feeds. Only one thing that I noticed and not sure if it is a flaw or I wasn't able to discover it yet on how to.

Logging out from the Pluck plugin (when I first installed and restarted the Firefox, the Pluck sidebar prompts me to sign in or create an account. I created an account but from then on I can't figure out how to log out, though there is flexibility in remaining logged in always but I'm a bit worried of the read/write and store life of my flash drive, and some security issues)

Another thing I found from the support page of the Pluck plugin on Firefox: it can sometimes fail to automatically update the subscriptions. For the resolution, there is a button on the upper right corner of the page that you have to click to update the feeds. =) The image is down by the time I read it, so I can't figure it out which of those buttons I have on the page.

But I know its not that impressive though, I'm just making it simple and clean. Someday hopefully I could make a professional template of this site.

Well anyway, it's not always all about layout. I'll be including here all the information that I knew about technology. As of now, if you didn't know yet - you could be able to customize the color of the BLOGGER Navbar!

This person would be able to give you step by step instructions on how to do it. And it would be best if you use a customized images used in the navbar, and everything is personalized. I'll be trying that for sometime if I have an extra time. And besides, you could tell on my current template that I'm not really in a hurry. =)

Here I Am - Layout#2

Layout that uses DIV tag, so hopefully there would be less problems with the conflict on Blogskins Preview. Actually, the post on the preview overflowed.. and I have to fix that issue on my next templates. But then again, I tested it and the posts doesn't overflow (fortunately). So I hopes that works well also on your blog if you download it.

I made the template for IE (1024)x(768) resolution. The reason why I have the gap at the right side of the screenshot is because I took it under (1152)x(864) resolution. And one thing I hate about DIVs is that it is running on different positions under different browsers (or resolutions). That is why I pick TABLEs rather than DIVs, well except if I really need to use the DIV.

Stella Layout - First Skin for Blogger

At last! Well this might be too simple, but I'm starting anyway. And I borrowed the vector image from YOLKS715 and credited him for it. It composes of 18 or more slices, if you wanted to use it, download it from Blogskins. You can just copy and paste it all, not really necessary for uploading the images to your own host, just look out for the 100MB/hr bandwidth.

Feel free to browse on the the works of other deviants in deviantart.com and make your layouts, just don't forget to credit and contact them that you had used their works. OR ELSE! They were definitely watching you.. and can post you on the Hall of Shame. Hehe. I've got some space there too btw.

**UNFIXED: the Preview action of this template on Blogskins is messed up. I'm not yet sure what is the cause of this, but rest assured (since it was tested on my own blog) the code is working. Though some flaws I found, the class under the body post was reset to either Times Roman or the font size is too large, and the rollover link at the bottom (Yolks' link) does not appear. Hmn.. without changing the codes before I know it is perfectly working. Anyway, if you need support in fixing this (or any flaws with the code), you can inform me.

UPDATE: I'm getting crazy and stucked in editing this template. When I tested the codes on another blog for test, it seems everything is okay. I assume that the PREVIEW action in Blogskins wasn't able to handle the TABLE tags of the template that is why everything is messed up. I guess the safest way to play is to use DIVS tag on my future templates. Meanwhile you can check the template live on my SAMPLE BLOG (while I'm creating for another template).

Sorry for any delay but the site is still under construction. If you cannot see the shoutbox messages at the right, the host is under maintenance and as of now they are transferring to another server.

I made this site for my designs that I made and hopefully someday there would be improvements and wide support of blogs all over the net. Currently, I am dedicated to make Blogger skins/templates.
